That's where we'll be, at the corner of 100 and 100A, right in the "No Coverage" zone.
That’s right folks, if you’re like us and you rely on the iPhone to find your pants in the morning, you’ll be out of your element when you arrive in the fair town of Plymouth, Vermont. As you can see here, Good Commons is at the corner of 100 and 100A, right in the no-person’s-land of AT&T connectivity.
The good news is you can connect to the internets at Good Commons, so get your iPhone Skype account all set up and you’ll be making free calls right from your phone! Actually, you can make calls from GC too, thanks Tesha! free long distance! You’ll find some Edge coverage in Woodstock and some other spots too… but we hope you’ll enjoy the disconnection time.
I guess also worth mentioning, be sure to write down your travel directions… like, on a piece of paper…. I know, weird!
Oh yeah, you’ll find some free wifi down at The Back Behind BBQ at the corner of 100 and Rt. 4… Amazing BBQ, brisket, Facebook status updates, ribs, and vibe galore.

Heaven forbid we run out of beer or scones!
we’re going to have a slew of colorful cloth napkins at our wedding reception. after reading this charming blog post about french napkin traditions, i’m now considering having all of you write your names on them with a Sharpie. a napkin guest book, if you will!

Here is where we’ll post all the plans and info and stuff to know about our upcoming wedding! First and foremost, we finally have the basics for you!
July 24th, 2010, we’ll be married on the grounds of the Calvin Coolidge Historic Site, with a reception following at a lovely place called Good Commons (pictured above), a 19th century general store that has been converted into a bed & breakfast/retreat center.
a proper save-the-date will follow in the snail mail, but we wanted to let our nearest and dearest know asap so you can make lodging arrangements. accommodations are tight in the area for that time of year because of other weddings, so we encourage you to make lodging reservations as soon as you can.

the most convenient place is the Salt Ash Inn, directly across the street from Good Commons. it’s in need of a renovation, but it’s inexpensive and it’s close.

for those of you will be flying, the 2 closest airports are Albany International Airport (ALB/KALB) and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (both about 2 hours away). you can also check out Cape Air. there are 3 daily flights from Boston to Rutland, VT (about a 1/2 hour from Plymouth). New York City is about a 5 hour drive, and Boston is about 3.
